The fact that passenger satisfaction scores were sliding while bus services were deemed to have met the standards set is a situation that deserves attention. In response, the government has been introducing several measures to improve public bus services, the latest being a trial to reward or fine bus service providers, depending on whether commuters wait for a shorter or longer period of time for selected bus services.
