ISES's recommendation comes on the back of the results of its Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore, a study of customer satisfaction in nine sectors of Singapore's economy. Even when ISES compared specific sub-sectors where locals and tourists would mostly patronise the same tier of establishments, the disparity remained obvious. In the attractions sub-sector, for example, the average satisfaction score for tourists was 80.3 points, whereas locals averaged only 70.7 points.
