Students in SMU are awarded digital badges when they have attained the benchmark level of Transformation in his/her co-curricular learning experience. This means the student has demonstrated profound growth and/or a major shift in values, beliefs and/or perspectives in the identified SMU Graduate Learning Outcome (GLO).

There are four different badges that can be awarded, which correspond to SMU’s Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLOs). These badges offer easy and instant verification from the dedicated digital credential page and offers an insight into the skillsets that a student has developed through participating in co-curricular activities.
