Singapore Management University (SMU) is internationally recognised for its world-class research and teaching. Established in 2000, SMU generates leading-edge research with global impact and to produce creative and entrepreneurial leaders for the knowledge-based economy.

SMU offers a wide range of Bachelors', Masters', and Postgraduate degree programmes in the disciplinary areas associated with its schools, as well as in multidisciplinary combinations of these areas.
SMU emphasises rigorous, high-impact, multi- and interdisciplinary research that addresses Asian issues of global relevance. SMU faculty members collaborate with leading international researchers and universities around the world, as well as with partners in the business community and public sector. The University’s international students come from India, China, ASEAN countries, Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, Maldives, Japan and South Korea. SMU has over 300 partner universities spanning 50 countries for exchange programmes, giving students 100% opportunities to participate in a global exposure programme.

SMU focuses on producing rigorous, high-impact, multidisciplinary research on Asian issues with global relevance. SMU faculty collaborate with leading researchers and universities from the USA, Europe, China, and India, as well as business and public sector partners, through its research institutes, centres, and labs.
