Formerly the Managing Director of Southeast Asia, Ian has grown the Singapore office to be a thriving business and one of the most awarded FITCH studios in the global network.
He also helped to lay the foundations for FITCH’s business in India, and established FITCH in China.
With his recent appointment as the CEO of APAC region, Ian overlooks the business for FITCH. Prior to this appointment, Ian has also been the Global Strategy Director of FITCH Worldwide, providing leadership for the Insight and Strategy capability area.
During his 20 over years with FITCH, both in London and in Singapore, Ian has played a key role in introducing strategic brand management thinking to the design process. He has been instrumental in developing FITCH’s 4D process, ‘Seamless Retail’ approach and ‘Shopper Mindstates’ research programme. He has also led the development of specific offers such as ‘Destination Branding’ – the application of branding principles to large format, mixed-use shopping, leisure and commercial developments.
