In a commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan discussed how former Transport Minister S Iswaran’s criminal charges underscore Singapore’s zero tolerance against corruption. Noting that Mr Iswaran had pleaded not guilty to multiple charges related to his dealings with tycoon Ong Beng Seng, Assoc Prof Tan said that it is important to note that he is innocent until proven guilty.
