This course teaches students to write short stories. It will consist of lectures on the short story as a separate genre, and workshops in which students are required to write and present their stories. In this course you will have to write creatively short fiction. There will be NO written exams but assessment is continuous, based on 3 stories submitted. The required textbook is ONE The Anthology, edited by Robert Yeo. It is available in the SMU bookshop.

3-hourly face-to-face classes once a week over 12 consecutive weeks.
It will be held every Tuesdays from 3.30 pm to 6.45 pm.
