The SMU-IRB has been in full implementation since 1 January 2008. Currently all research involving human subjects falls under the IRB policy. Research data involving human subjects should not be collected without IRB approval.
The IRB Office will be conducting a briefing to explain the application process and address any questions which you may have. You are encouraged to attend this session as we will be sharing IRB updates relevant to your human subject research projects as well.
You are advised to read background information on the SMU-IRB Intranet website https://intranet.smu.edu.sg/or/IRB/ before you come to the briefing as answers to many of the basic questions that you may have are available on the Intranet.
Faculty and staff can access the information via Intranet E-wise > Research > Research Matters> Institutional Review Board. For students, access will be via OASIS > Schools & Community > SMU > Institutional Review Board.
We look forward to seeing you at the briefing.
