"It's a real pleasure for me that today we are topping out the building. I want to congratulate everybody who was involved in the construction of this building. And I am very proud for you." — SMU President, Professor Arnoud De Meyer.
"It's been eight and a half years since [the School of Law has] opened. Our SOL students have earned a lot of accolades overseas and won many moot court competitions. They've really made SMU proud and perhaps even more importantly, they have added to the diversity of the student body itself." — SMU Chairman, Mr Ho Kwon Ping
