Lysaght Marketing Bursary

About the Bursary

Established in 2014, the Lysaght Marketing Bursary is aimed at providing financial assistance to full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Good academic results
  • With demonstrated financial needs (gross monthly per capita household income not exceeding $1,900)


Five bursaries will be awarded in Academic Year 2016-17.

Tenure and Benefits

  • Each bursary is valued at $5,000 and tenable for the recipient’s one year of study
  • The bursaries will go towards funding the recipients' annual tuition fees.
  • The recipients may be in concurrent receipt of another bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.

Tuition Grant Scheme

The recipients are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme provided by the Singapore Government for subsidised education.


Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

The Lysaght Marketing Bursary seeks to provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduates who are pursuing tertiary education at SMU. The organisation hopes to inspire SMU students to strive for academic excellence and achieve their fullest potential.

Lysaght Marketing (LM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lysaght Galvanized Steel Berhad. Lysaght Galvanized Steel Berhad began its roots in manufacturing corrugated steel pipes, guardrails and highway furniture.  The company later diversified in the design and manufacturing of poles, masts, transmission poles, transmission / telecommunication towers and substation structures.
