Lee Foundation Bursary

About the Bursary

Established in 2016, the Lee Foundation Bursary serves to provide financial assistance to needy students for their education at the Singapore Management University. This gift is made possible with the generous donation by the Lee Foundation.

Tuition Grant Scheme

  • The recipients are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidised education.
  • Under the TGS, non-Singaporean recipients (including Singapore Permanent Residents) will be contractually obliged to work for Singapore-based companies for 3 years upon graduation.

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

About the Donor

The Lee Foundation is a charitable foundation set up by philanthropist and businessman Mr Lee Kong Chian for the advancement of education, medicine and cultural activities, helping the poor, assisting victims of fire, flood and famine, and the carrying out of other philanthropic work.
