DNIV International Bursary

About the Bursary Established in 2014, the DNIV International Bursary is aimed at assisting and motivating full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University with demonstrated financial needs, to achieve academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Special consideration will be given to students with demonstrated financial needs (gross monthly per capita household income not exceeding $1,700)

Quota

One bursary will be awarded annually and in perpetuity commencing Academic Year 2014-15.

Tenure and Benefits

  • The bursary is valued at $6,000 and tenable for one year of study.
  • The bursary will go towards funding the recipient's annual tuition fee.
  • The recipient may be in concurrent receipt of another bursary for cash allowance, subject to fulfilment of its eligibility criteria.
  • The recipient may be offered internship and/or recruitment opportunities by the Donor and/or its affiliated companies.
  • The recipient may be considered again in the subsequent year, subject to continued observance of the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions of award.

Tuition Grant Scheme

  • The recipient is required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidised education.
  • Under the TGS, non-Singaporean recipients (including Singapore Permanent Residents) will be contractually obliged to work for Singapore-based companies for 3 years upon graduation.

Application

Shortlisting of candidates for consideration will be from the list of applicants applying for SMU-administered bursaries in the year of award.

This Bursary is made possible by DNIV International Pte Ltd.

The DNIV International Bursary seeks to provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduates who are pursuing tertiary education at SMU. DNIV is established in Singapore in 1995 and has expanded its operations to countries such as Thailand, Malaysia as well as China. Its management team has several years of experience in the specialised fields of SMT, Semiconductor & Fiber optics, III-IV and compound semiconductor, welding industries & automotive industries.
