Professor Phillip H. Phan

Phillip H. Phan is Professor of Management at The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. From 2000 to 2008, he held the Warren H. Bruggeman '46 and Pauline Urban Bruggeman Distinguished Professorship at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was the 2004/2005 Haniel Foundation Visiting Professor at Humboldt University in Berlin and the 2006/2007 Robert Bosch Foundation Public Policy Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin.
Phillip writes in the area of Technological Entrepreneurship and Market Entry Strategies. He has published more than 80 research articles in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, and Journal of Management. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of Business Venturing, the Journal of Technology Transfer, and the Journal of Finance Stability. He regularly consults for Fortune 500 firms and technology venture capital firms in Canada and the U.S.
