Adventure Learning
 

Adventure learning is about the love of and participation in adventure sports. You will get the chance to explore foreign lands and experience diverse and rich cultures. Through such expeditions, you will learn about endurance, determination, teamwork and leadership. You will also be able to hone your organisational skills and have the confidence and ability to plan & execute similar large-scale events.

18 SMU students took part in this 12-day challenge partnering 5 youths from the Singapore Boys’ Home in their first attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Students learnt to plan, work and train with each other, which helped build a sense of shared responsibilities. more

Zero Limits
23 June to 20 July 2006

4 female and 7 male students embarked on a test to stretch their physical and mental limits. The challenge involved a gruelling 18-day, 1,000 km cross-country cycling tour over the terrain of France. This included an attempt to scale a daunting slope in the famous Tour De France route. This expedition also tested the team’s resourcefulness and provided many opportunities to sharpen their problem-solving abilities. more
