  Patron's Day
29 January 2007

Patron's Day celebrates SMU's birthday. Our patron President S R Nathan graces the occasion, and is treated to an energetic array of games and performances organised by our students. We also present awards to those who excel in their CCA activities.


  Waikiki
24 February 2007

Waikiki is an annual beach event comprising sporting activities, performances and games to promote interaction and build strong bonds within the SMU community. The event is normally held in Sentosa during the term break so that students, staff and faculty can enjoy and chill out after the exams. Students from the polytechnics and junior colleges will also be invited to join in the fun. Waikiki promises an adrenaline rush - come rain or shine.


  Freshmen Team-Building (FTB)
August 2007

The Freshmen Team-Building Camp will be conducted in three runs this year and will emphasise the SMU CIRCLE values of Commitment, Integrity, Responsibility, Collegiality, Leadership and Excellence. It is a 3-day, 2-night camp which will leave you with a wealth of experience and lots of new friends. These newly formed friendships will lay the foundation to begin creating wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.


  Convocation
18 August 2007

As you get ready to embark on the exciting and enriching journey with SMU, we help you mark the occasion with this special event.

On hand to welcome you into the SMU family will be the Chancellor, Chairman, President and Provost, the Board of Trustees, the Deans, faculty, staff and seniors. Parents and guardians of our freshmen are also invited to attend. The event organised by your seniors is a dignified yet vibrant celebration of the start of the academic life at SMU.

  VIVACE – SAC/CCA Day
August 2007

Come and experience SMU’s vibrant student life through a series of fun-filled events like carnivals, performances, games and a CCA fair! A wide variety of student groups will be there to showcase their numerous activities.


  Water Shock
September 2007

Watershock is an annual event organised by the Office of Student Life (OSL), SMU Sports Union (SSU) and SMUextremist (SMUX). It provides an opportunity for the SMU sea sports clubs to showcase their talents and expertise. The sea sports clubs will be giving live demonstration performances like wakeboarding and waterskiing. Enthusiastic boaters will also have a chance to participate in fun races. To give you an insight into the sailing racing scene, you may even be invited as crews for the different boats, if you are lucky!


  SMU Arts Festival
September 2007

This week-long SMU Arts Festival, organised by the Arts & Culture Fraternity (ACF) of SMU, will transport you to a world of creative ideas and innovation. The 23 clubs in ACF will showcase a colourful and exciting spectrum of performing and visual arts events which will not only provide fun and enjoyment but also a challenging creative outlet.


  Peace Day
September 2007

SMU commemorates the International Day of Peace by bringing together our multicultural community of students and staff to wish for peace in the different languages. We will also observe a one-minute silence for the many who are still suffering in our turbulent world. We will be staging an exhibition and other activities to mark the occasion.


  Sports Fiesta
September 2007

Endurance, versatility and skill mark this annual fun-filled event which is held in SMU’s Campus Green. Students, staff and faculty will pit their skills against one another in a variety of sporting activities, including 3-on-3 basketball, 6-a-side soccer and many more, like rock climbing up on the rock wall in our sports hall. The martial arts clubs will be at hand to showcase their talents. We will include sporting activities in our sports hall to extend the range of events.
