Role of the student
The internship is an opportunity for students to synthesise classroom theory, personal skills and genuine career-related work experience. Students will submit a resume and a personal statement describing their academic and career goals, as well as any other information potential employers may require of them. At the end of the internship, each student will be required to submit a written report to his or her respective school.
Role of the employer
Your primary responsibility as the employer is to ensure that the internship offered is meaningful and serves to enhance the student's educational experience and career development. You should establish learning objectives and development skills in relation to the pre-professional experience, and then structure and supervise the internship to meet these objectives. At the end of the internship, the reporting supervisor of the intern in the company will be asked to provide feedback to the school on the intern's performance.
