Tuition Fees
Students enrolled into this fast track program who are non-Singapore citizens will pay the full tuition fees for the entire duration of their undergraduate studies at SMU. Fees are subject to change from time to time.

There will be additional fees for the third or summer semester courses at SMU. Accommodation and cost of living in Singapore are separate costs, estimated to be between S$800 to S$1,000 (550,000-685,000 won/ US$580-720) per month, depending on the student’s individual lifestyle.
Singapore Government Tuition Fee Subsidy
Non-Singapore citizens may apply for the Singapore Government Tuition Fee Subsidy. With this subsidy, their subsidized annual tuition fees will approximately be S$13,700 / 9,400,000 won / US$9,900. In return, students will be required to work in Singapore-registered companies for three years following graduation from SMU.
Graduates may seek overseas employment provided that:
- Overseas employment is full-time employment as seconded by the Singapore-based company and the employee remains on the Singapore’s company payroll; or
- Overseas employment is full-time employment by an overseas subsidiary of a Singapore-based company where the overseas subsidiary company is owned more than 50% by the Singapore-based company.
Students on the SMU-KAIST fast-track program going on to pursue the KAIST postgraduate programs are required to apply to the Singapore Ministry of Education to defer their three year work obligations following graduation from SMU. They must either furnish a banker’s guarantee or in lieu of the banker’s guarantee, provide two sureties who must either be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
Male students who are on the tuition fee subsidy should fulfil their Korean military obligations before commencing undergraduate studies at SMU.
