Programme Overview

A 5-year Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 10 July 2007 between Singapore Management University (SMU) and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to develop a programme that will allow students to complete the requirements for an SMU undergraduate degree and a KAIST postgraduate degree.

Under this programme, students spend three and a half years at SMU and two years at KAIST to fulfill the degree requirements at both institutions. Currently, the SMU undergraduate degree programmes offered under this fast-track programme are :

SMU and KAIST will establish a joint panel to select students for admission into this programme. In the initial stage, most students will be from South Korea. At a later stage, both institutions will enroll students from other countries.
