We are the pioneer in developing a learning approach that is based on a holistic and broadbased curriculum. We seek to educate the whole person by giving our students a balanced mix of ‘hard’ knowledge skills and ‘soft’ people skills that include leadership, communication, problem-solving and character-building. This way, we develop them into ‘all-rounder’ graduates, capable of excelling in a variety of careers and at the same time, making meaningful contributions to society. |
We are the leader in providing an unrivalled pedagogy that is focused on interactive learning. In an interactive learning environment. Students contribute to the learning process by participating actively in class discussions. Our students learn to think on the spot and provide refreshing perspectives in ways that will benefit them upon graduation and entering the work force. |
We are a first-mover in providing global exposure opportunities to our students. More than 73% of them have some form of overseas exposure in the form of international student exchange programmes, summer study programmes, overseas study missions and overseas community service projects. At SMU, the world is your campus. |
You have a choice of 6 undergraduate degree programmes – Accountancy, Business Management, Economics, Information Systems Management, Law or Social Science. We adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to learning in which you can take courses from the other SMU schools. This can be achieved by taking on a double degree programme from 15 combinations, or a second major from 16 choices within a single degree programme. Different strokes for different folks. |

Practical internships are an integral part of our curriculum. Through internships, you get an insight into what working life is about and gain the knowledge and experience to help you make informed career choices. We are the first university to offer comprehensive career skills and training workshops to give our student a career headstart. They are head-hunted by employers even before graduation and offered attractive jobs and compensation packages. It is no surprise that our graduate employment surveys have been impressive, with near 100% full-time employment within six months of graduation. |
