The talk will focus on the unique resources within a family business that successful family businesses use to their advantage. In particular, the resources that assist the family business in the area of international expansion, and to develop roots in foreign markets will be discussed.
The talk addresses questions such as "How can family businesses compete in foreign markets?" and "How can family businesses differentiate themselves by deriving their strength from the family?". Principles of developing a sound strategy as well as several examples from family businesses from all over the world will be provided.
