The new academic year has begun, and some 3,800 SMU students began classes in the new $450 million, 4.5 hectare purpose-built campus - the only Singapore university in the city centre. Here, intellectual exchange will become a seamless activity among the University, the nearby civic and financial centres and surrounding arts and cultural institutions.
