The Graduate Employment Survey of SMU’s second graduating cohort revealed that 100% of economically active graduates found jobs either before graduation or within six months of their graduation. More than half (65%) of the graduates received job offers even before they graduated, and about 75% found jobs within one month of graduation. Moreover, 75% of the SMU graduates received two to more than 10 job offers. 90% were employed in full-time permanent jobs, while another 10% were on part-time or temporary employment.

A highly impressive finding was that the top 20% of the Bachelor of Business Management graduates, who made up two-thirds of the SMU cohort surveyed, have an average starting monthly salary of over S$4,000.

"A unique combination of industry exposure through internships, community service, overseas study missions, exchange programmes and our rigorous career
preparation courses has given our graduates a head-start in the workplace."

- Prof Howard Hunter,
President of SMU
