    Technology can actually make students want to do their homework, at least for some at the Singapore Management University (SMU), which is injecting high technology into teaching. It is trying out a Virtual Canvas project for a year, which involves some accountancy students, 34 sleek tablet PCs and a 'smart' projector. SMU’s Virtual Canvas initiative was announced yesterday as one of seven winning entries from universities in the region, for the annual Hewlett-Packard (HP) Mobile Technology for Teaching Grant.
