and Lianhe Zaobao, SMU Provost Prof Tan Chin Tiong,
NTU President Prof Su Guaning, and NUS’ Deputy

there is a greater need for cooperation and interaction
among the three universities.

Cai Xun, 20 and Gao Lu, 19 are the first recipients
of the Li Ka Shing Scholarship, established at Singapore
Management University. They were among the 87 applications,
and were selected based on their excellent academic and
