Tuition Grant Application
You may be pleased to note that your university education is highly subsidised by the Singapore Government in the form of a Tuition Grant. The Tuition Fees only partially cover the cost of your education.
For Singapore Citizen
If you are a Singapore Citizen (including those on government scholarships), please apply for the Tuition Grant at the time of matriculation by downloading and completing the Tuition_Grant_Application_Form. This form should be endorsed by your parent/guardian and submitted to the University on IDs Verification & Card Collection Day. Students who do not apply for the Tuition Grant will be charged the non-subsidised tuition fees by the University.
For Singapore Permanent Resident / or Foreigner
If you are Singapore Permanent Resident or a Foreigner who wish to apply for the Tuition Grant, please log on to the internet at http://sam11.moe.gov.sg/tass to make your application (online application period will be from 01 September 2009 to 11 September 2009).
In return for the benefit of subsidised education, non-citizens will be bonded to work in Singapore-registered company for 3 years upon completion of their studies. You will be required to sign a Tuition Grant Deed after application. Two sureties are required to execute the Deed. They can be of any nationality, between 21 and 65 years of age, and must not be bankrupts. For Non-Singaporeans, there will be a Tuition Grant Briefing conducted by MOE officers on 28 August 2009 @ SMU Admin Building, Conference Hall.
