SMUX Camp
6 - 8 August 2008
In line with the SMUXtremists (SMU-Xtremists) mission to initiate the uninitiated and spread the passion for the outdoors, the SMUXtremists (SMUX) Orientation Camp is not only targeted at freshmen who are enthusiastic and passionate about the outdoors, or even experienced in our SMUX activities, but also freshmen who are new to the notion of outdoor activities. Having been a freshman before, we understand how important it is to have a couple of friends even before the start of school. Thus, we hope that SMUX Camp will serve as an excellent platform to help you widen your social circle while having fun engaging in the array of activities featured. Through the activities incorporated that include biking, diving, inline-skating, kayaking, trekking and underwater hockey, you will realise that outdoor activities can indeed be fun and manageable for everyone.
To find out for yourself just what it is in the activities that keeps each and everyone of us here at SMUX going (and lovin' it) or simply try your hand, for the first time, at some of our activities , think no more and join us now!

ACF Arts Camp
7 - 9 August 2008
Prepare to add a dash of colour to your campus life. There's no better place to start than at SMU's very first Arts Camp!
This inaugural Arts Camp - organised by the Arts and Cultural Fraternity (ACF) - is slated to take the freshmen-cohort by storm. Held on the grounds of the campus itself, it is aimed at immersing freshmen into the vibrant SMU arts-and-culture scene. Everyone is invited to add a touch of artsy with a paintbrush or enjoy themselves at the performances helmed by the 'who's who?' of the SMU arts scene.
From a capella singing, spinning popular club anthems on the decks, filmmaking to hip hop dancing, ACF has programmed a wide variety of workshops for you to choose from. This event will mark the perfect and colourful beginning to an enriching, creative experience in SMU.
Expect the unexpected. The days of staying locked up in the library are numbered, after this Arts Camp, of course.
