Welcome to SMU-SAS Enterprise Intelligence Lab

SAS Institute Pte Ltd and SMU have jointly established the SMU-SAS Enterprise Intelligence Lab (SEIL) to increase the awareness of Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) and promote Singapore as a hub for BIA. Through this partnership between the BIA curriculum and the SEIL, SIS students will have ample opportunity to create, apply and leverage leading-edge solutions for Business Intelligence & Analytics.

SAS and SMU’s vision for SEIL is to introduce the world's first undergraduate enrichment experiences to get certified as a Business Intelligence and Analytics Analysts. SMU students, researchers & academic staff will be able to carryout research & projects utilising state-of-the-art BIA technology available in SEIL.

Business Intelligence and Analytics is a specialty track under the Advanced Business Solutions second major. The SIS faculty and students of this track will work very closely with SEIL for courses, research and projects. Real world scenarios, best practices & technologies will enhance the teaching and learning experience with SEIL. Faculty and students from Master of IT in Business (Financial Services) degree and Ph.D. (IS) will use SEIL for their research and projects. SMU and SAS work closely for the development of Industry Programmes and Professional Courses.

The SAS Scholarship, established by SAS Institute Pte Ltd, is aimed at encouraging outstanding full-time undergraduates in the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems Management) programme to achieve academic excellence in their studies, particularly in the learning of business intelligence technology and applications.
