Eligibility
You must be a student from one of SMU's partner universities. Please click here to refer to the list of partner universities .

Students who are not from our list of partner universities may not apply to SMU as a fee paying student, eg; free mover or visiting student. The same applies to students from our partner universities; you may only apply as an exchange student.

Only students from our partner universities are eligible to apply for summer courses. An official email from your home university is required. The deadline for application is early March.

You should have completed at least one year of tertiary education at your home university at the time of participation in the exchange programme.

English is the main communication medium in SMU and Singapore. If your first language is not English, please provide evidence of your English language proficiency (such as TOEFL).

The score for TOEFL-test should be equivalent to 560 points (the paper-based test) or 220 points (the computer-based test) or 80 points (the internet based test).
