The Institute’s Centre for Corporate and Investor Responsibility (CCIR) will involve Professor Paul Malatesta from the University of Washington and Associate Professor Jeremy Goh from the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at SMU as co-principal investigators.

CCIR seeks to produce and encourage high quality research, generate scholarly commentary, and promote discussion between the academic and business communities on best practices in corporate governance. One of the major projects of the Centre is to develop a comprehensive and unbiased corporate governance index for companies listed in the Singapore Stock Exchange. Subsequently, this will be extended to other countries in Southeast Asia. Creating and maintaining the dataset that will provide the basis for the index will be part of this major endeavor.
