About SETA2010

The 2010 International Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA2010) is being organized by the Centre for Financial Econometrics (CoFie) and School of Economics at SMU. SETA is now widely regarded as one of the major econometric activities in Asia and has become very influential. The previous SETA conferences were held annually in Taiwan, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Seoul and Kyoto, two of which had selected conference papers published in special issues of the Journal of Econometrics.

The theme of SETA2010 is “Econometric Theory with Application in Macroeconomics and Finance”. It will be held on April 29, 30 and May 1, 2010 at SMU. We will have a mixture of keynote speeches, invited talks, contributed sessions and poster sessions. While we encourage high quality submissions in the relevant areas, strong econometric research papers in other areas, whether they are applied or theoretical, are welcome as well.
