SCCCF Business Scholarship
 

Sponsored by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Scholarships are available to outstanding undergraduates studying full-time at the Singapore Management University.

Up to four scholarships will be awarded annually between Academic Years 2010-11 and 2012-13, each tenable for one year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time SMU undergraduates in any year of study and in any degree programme
  • Singapore citizens or permanent residents
  • Achieved good academic results
  • Good leaderships skills and character records
  • Good CCA involvement
  • Keen interest and knowledge of the local Chinese businesses
  • Financial need may be taken into consideration

Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship Award

  • The Scholarship, valued at $5,000, is tenable for one year only.
  • The Scholar must be prepared to attend an award presentation ceremony organised by the donor.
  • The Scholar is required to write an essay of 5,000 words on a topic to be determined by the donor and submit within two months of assignment of the topic.
  • The Scholar may reapply to be considered for the scholarship in the subsequent year of study.
  • No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.

Tuition Grant Scheme

  • Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
  • Under the TGS, non-Singaporean scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
