Established by Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton, the scholarship is available to Bachelor of Accountancy undergraduates studying full-time at the Singapore Management University .

1 scholarship is awarded annually, commencing Academic Year 2005-2006. The Scholarship is tenable for 3 years, subject to good academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria

• Full-time SMU BAcc undergraduates who have successfully completed first year of studies and proceeding to year 2
• Preference will be given to Singapore citizens or permanent residents
• Outstanding academic results
• Undertake internship attachment with FKTGT
• Undertake employment with FKTGT for 3 years upon graduation
• Preference will be given to financially needy students

Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship Award

• The Scholarship, valued at $6,500 per year, is tenable for 3 years, subject to good academic performance.
• The scholar is required to serve a minimum of 10 weeks' internship with FKTGT.
• Scholar is required to undertake employment with FKTGT for 3 years upon graduation.

Tuition Grant Scheme

Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
