School of Accountancy Scholarship
 

The Scholarship is available to Bachelor of Accountancy undergraduates studying full-time at the Singapore Management University. The Scholarship is aimed at motivating the BAcc undergraduates to achieve greater heights of excellence and at providing them with financial suport.

Up to eight (8) scholarships will be awarded annually, each tenable for one year. Each scholarship is valued at $2,500 and is tenable for one year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time SMU BAcc undergraduates of any nationality
  • Satisfactory academic results:
    - Incoming students with polytechnic results: certificate of merit and SAT score of 1300; non-merit holders with excellent results may be considered on a case-by-case basis
    - Incoming students with 'A' level qualifications: at least 2'A's and SAT score of 1,300
    - Incoming students with polytechnic results: certificate of merit and SAT score of 1,300; non-merit holders with excellent results may be considered on a case-by-case basis
    - Incoming students with other entry qualifications: on a case-by-case basis
    - Current students: a term/accumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Applicants' gross monthly per capita (average) household income should not exceed $1,000 and/or applicants with evidence of financial hardship

Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship Award

  • The Scholarships, valued at $2,500 each, are tenable for one year only.
  • No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.

Tuition Grant Scheme

  • Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
  • Under the TGS, foreign scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
