Funded by Mr Patrick Lee and members of the Lee family, the Sing Lun Scholarship is established in honour of Mr Lee's late father, Mr Lee Chee Hung, who founded the family business. The Scholarship is aimed at motivating full-time undergraduates at the Singapore Management University to achieve greater heights of excellence and at providing them with financial support in the current difficult economic climate.
The scholarships will be awarded over a six-year period commencing Academic Year 2009-10 in the following manner:
- Eight (8) scholarships annually for Academic Years 2009-10 and 2010-11
- Six (6) scholarships annually for Academic Years 2011-12 to 2014-15
Each scholarship is valued up to $12,500 and is tenable for one year.

Each scholarship is valued up to $12,500 and is tenable for one year.
- The scholarship will offer financial support towards the scholar's tuition costs and/or study-related expenses, such as Business Study Mission and/or International Student Exchange Programmes with SMU partner universities.
- The scholar is expected to participate in meaningful community projects with community, social or civic organisations.
- The scholar is required to submit a 400-word report on his/her community outreach engagement.
- The scholar may be offered internship and recruitment opportunity by the Donor or its designated companies.

No bond is required under the terms
of this Scholarship.

Recipients are required to take advantage
of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore
Government for subsidized education.

Under the TGS, non-Singaporean recipients will
be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period
of three years upon graduation.
