Sharon Lee Teng Siew Scholarship
 

Funded by an endowed contribution by Mr Kwek Leng Keow and friends of Ms Sharon Lee Teng Siew, the Scholarship is available to undergraduate students from the School of Social Sciences at the Singapore Management University. The Scholarship is aimed at motivating students to achieve greater heights of excellence.

The scholarship, valued at $10,500 per year, is tenable for the duration of the scholar's studies (up to four years), subject to good academic performance. One scholarship will be awarded every four years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates of any nationality from the School of Social Sciences
  • Good academic performance
  • Active involvement in CCA and/or community service
  • Good leadership skills and character records
  • With demonstrated financial needs

Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship Award

  • The Scholarship, valued at $10,500 per annum, is tenable for the scholar's duration of studies (up to four years), subject to good academic performance.
  • No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.
  • The Scholar is encouraged to, at an appropriate time in his or her life, to demonstrate similar acts of giving to those in need.

Tuition Grant Scheme

  • Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
  • Under the TGS, foreign scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
