School of Economics Scholarship
 

Supported by funds contributed by the School's faculty/staff and its fundraising activities, the objective of SOE Scholarship is to motivate and spur students in the School of Economics to achieve greater heights of academic excellence.

Up to nine scholarships will be awarded annually to students proceeding for their second, third or fourth year of study. Each scholarship is valued at $2,000 and is tenable for one year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates of any nationality pursuing BSc(Econs) as their primary programme of study
  • Outstanding academic performance
  • Active involvement in CCA and/or community service
  • Good leadership skills and character records

Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship Award

  • The Scholarships, valued at $2,000, is tenable for one year only.
  • No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.
  • Scholars may be required to perform some form of service for the School of Economics.

Tuition Grant Scheme

  • Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
  • Under the TGS, foreign scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
