The Ng Kai Wa Scholarship, established by Mr Ng Kai Wa, is aimed at to encouraging outstanding full-time undergraduates in the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems Management) programme to achieve academic excellence in their studies.
Five or more scholaships of either $5,000 or $10,000 each, will be awarded commencing Academic Year 2007-08.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Full-time undergraduate of any nationality pursuing the Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) programme
- Outstanding academic results
- Good leadership skills and character
- Active CCA and community involvement
- Special consideration may be given to students with financial need
Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship
- The scholarship, valued at either $5,000 or $10,000 each, is tenable for one year.
- No bond is required of the scholarship recipients.
Value of Award
- Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
- Under the TGS, foreign scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
