The Nexia TS Public Accounting Corporation-SMU Scholarship, established by Nexia TS Public Accounting Corporation, is aimed at encouraging outstanding full-time undergraduates at the School of Accountancy at SMU to achieve academic excellence in their studies.
One scholarship is awarded annually commencing Academic Year 2008-09, each tenable for one year, subject to good academic performance and the student's financial circumstances.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Full time SMU BAcc undergraduates of any nationality
proceeding to Year 3 of their studies
- Good academic results
- Good leadership skills and active in co-curricular activities
- Good character records
- Priority will be given to financially needy students
Terms and Benefits of the Scholarship

Each scholarship, valued at $3,500 per academic year, is tenable for one year.

The scholar is required to serve a minimum of 10 weeks' internship with Nexia TS Public Accounting Corporation.

The scholarship will be disbursed to the scholar to meet his study-related expenses.

No bond is required of the scholarship recipient.
Tuition Grant Scheme

Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.

Under the TGS, foreign scholars will be obligated to work in Singapore for a minimum period of three years upon graduation.
