The Chua It Wee Financial Scholarship is aimed at encouraging and assisting local undergraduates pursuing the Bachelor of Accountancy programme in achieving academic success. Applicants must be proceeding to their third or fourth year of studies at the School of Accountancy, and with demonstrated financial needs.
One Scholarship is awarded annually for a consecutive period of three years commencing Academic Year 2007-08, and is tenable for one year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time BAcc undergraduates pursuing their third or fourth year of study at SMU
- Singapore citizens
- Demonstrate a balanced profile with an interest in both non-academic activities as well as achieving good academic results
- Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need
Tenure and Benefits of the Scholarship Award
- The Scholarship, valued at $3,000 per year, is tenable for one year.
- No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.
Tuition Grant Scheme
Scholars are required to take advantage of the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) provided by the Singapore Government for subsidized education.
