Tan Tee Chee & Tsan Kah Ngooh Award
 

Sponsored by Professor Tan Teck Meng, the Tan Tee Chee & Tsan Kah Ngooh Award is given annually to 3 outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in co-curricular activities.

One award in each of the following categories will be given to students who have achieved excellence or made outstanding contributions:

(a) sport
(b) arts/cultural
(c) social/community events

The Awards will be presented at the SMU Patron’s Day.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have displayed excellence in sports, arts/cultural, and social/community events at university, national and international levels will be invited to apply.

The eligibility of the event will be determined by an Award Committee.

Sports, arts/cultural events, social/community contributions would include the following:

  • Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Games
  • National and International Championships
  • Adventure Sports
  • Musical Production
  • Dancing Competition
  • Debating Competitions Environment Competitions
  • Case Study Competitions
  • Outstanding service to SMU or the community at large

The Award will only be given if there is a candidate of sufficient merit
