Sponsored by the Economic Society of Singapore the Economic Society of Singapore Excellence Award (in Economics) is given annually to a top graduating student in the Bachelor of Science in Economics programme at the School of Economics and Social Sciences who has completed his/her Honours Thesis programme in Economics.

The Award will be presented at the SMU Commencement Ceremony.

Eligibility Criteria

The Award will be given annually to the top graduating final year student in the Bachelor of Science in Economics programme at the University’s School of Economics and Social Sciences who has completed his/her Honours Thesis programme in Economics, based on the following criteria:

• achieved academic excellence
• demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities
• displayed innovativeness and an enterprising spirit in either student body or for the community
• demonstrated outstanding service to the SMU community.

The Award will be given to the student who best meets the criteria.
