| Eligibility |
- Needy full-time undergraduate students of SMU who have used all available loan schemes or subsidies up to 100% of the tuition fees.
- Monthly household income ≤ $1,500
- Proof of difficult family financial circumstances.

If student applicant is a Singapore citizen, the guarantor must be:
- between 21 and 60 years of age;
- is not an undischarged bankrupt; and
- is a Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident
If student applicant is a non-Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, the guarantor must be:
- between 21 and 60 years of age;
- is not an undischarged bankrupt; and
- need not be a Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident . However, in such circumstance, the indemnity must be executed in the presence of a notary public or commission of oath
