Programme Details
Course Structure and Fee
The course fee for the entire 18-day programme is $17,441 (including GST) per person before subsidy. An overall certificate of completion will be presented to participants who have completed the 18-day programme. For participants who are qualified for the Course Fee Subsidy, the net course fee is $9,291 (including GST) per person.
Participants who prefer a more targeted and focused approach have the option of signing up for any module based on their needs. The course fee for each two-day module is $1,947.40 (including GST) per person. Participants will be awarded individual certificates of completion for each module.
Course fees include course materials, meals and the use of SMU’s state of the art training facilities in the city.
Accreditation
This course is accredited by:
Professional Engineers Board Continuing Professional Development Programme - Participants will be awarded 126 PDUs on completion of the course.
Application Deadline
1 month before commencement of each module (Applications received after filing deadline will be considered on space availability).
Schedule
Each module is held over Fridays and Saturdays. Training hours are from 9am to 5pm.
Meals
Breakfast, tea breaks and lunch will be provided during the training. Meals provided are ‘no pork, no lard”. If you have any special dietary requirements, please inform us accordingly.

Transfer/Substitution Policy
Transfer requests must be received in writing. Requests received within 4 weeks of programme commencement date will incur a 5% (of course fee) administrative charge.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received in writing. The following charges apply for cancellation received:

Certificate of Completion
Participants who have attained at least 75% attendance will be awarded a Certificate of Successful Completion
Course Fee Subsidy
The Workforce Development Agency (WDA) will provide a course fee subsidy at 50% of the course fee (exclude GST) capped at $8,150 to participants who attained the Certificate of Successful Completion of the SMU-BCA Advanced Management Programme. The course fee subsidy is only applicable to Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents. The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) will be the administrator for the course fee subsidy grant.
Programme participants applying for the course fee subsidy will be tied to meeting the following conditions:
- Participants must be sponsored by their organisations in the application of the subsidy;
- Participants must be senior level executives with at least five years of management experience in the building and construction industry;
- Participants must achieve at least 75% class attendance & completed the programme satisfactorily to obtain the Certificate of Successful Completion; (participants attending single module will not be eligible for this subsidy);
- Participants must participate in the end-of-course evaluation as required under the administration of the subsidy;
- Participants must successfully submit a project report within three months after the completion of the programme, evidencing that the participant has led or started the implementation of an initiative that impacts the business or core competitiveness of his/her organisation; and
- The sponsoring organisation’s participation in a follow-up survey one year after the completion of the course to track the retention rate of programme participants within the industry.
The award of the course fee subsidy would be subjected to the discretion of BCA on behalf of WDA in meeting all the stipulated funding criteria including the administration of the fund to best suit the objective of the Advanced Management Programme.

Funding Application & Disbursement
Programme participants interested in the application of the course fee subsidy can submit the application form (FORM AMP 1), together with all relevant supporting documents. The complete application (with the supporting documents) must be received by BCA latest by 14 August 2009.
Upon BCA’s approval of the course fee subsidy, BCA shall disburse the subsidised sum directly to SMU in lieu of the 50% of the course fee. Processing time for WDA course fee subsidy will be 2 weeks upon receipt of complete application.
In the event that the participant and/or sponsoring organisation fails to meet any of the funding criteria before, during or after the completion of the programme, BCA reserves the right to reclaim the subsidised sum from the sponsoring organisation.
