Information for Guests
Guests attending the ceremony, please note the following:
- Please bring along your invitation cards (tickets) for admission.
- Dress code for guests shall be shirt & tie.
- Please do not bring children under the age of six years old.
- Handphones and pagers are to be switched to silent mode when the ceremony is in progress.
- Guests will not be allowed to take photos inside the ceremonial hall (Professional photographers have been engaged. Camera flashes from guests' cameras will over-expose / spoil the professional photography.)
- Guests are to remain in their seats at all times. No one will be allowed to move to the aisle or near the ceremony platform at all times.
- If special seating arrangement is required for wheelchair-bound guests, please inform us via email commencement@smu.edu.sg.
- To add buzz to the event, the university will invite various vendors to set up stalls for Commencement. On the day of the event, you may buy SMU souvenirs, plaques/frames (for degree scroll), studio photography packages at attractive prices.
- For guests who are driving, please note Road Closure Info (due to NDP rehearsals).
