International Trading Track
 

LOCAL TALENT, GLOBAL IMPACT

With the objective of grooming young international trading talent in Singapore , SMU launched the International Trading Track (ITT) in July 2006. ITT is offered as a specialization under the Finance major. SMU undergraduates on the track have the opportunity to explore international trading and related industries as attractive career options. Organisations also achieve a better fit between individuals and their talent needs.

ITI course offerings include:

(a) Financial Institution, Instruments & Markets (FNCE 102)

(b) Corporate Reporting & Analysis of Financial Statements (ACCT 201)

(c) Trade Finance (FNCE 310)

(d) Enterprise Risk Management (FNCE 309)

(e) Analysis of Derivatives Securities (FNCE 305)

(f) Shipping Business (TRAD 201)

(g) Law & International Business (LGST 204)

(h) Oil Trading (Non-credit course)

(i) Agri-commodity Trading (Non-credit course)

(j) Emissions Trading (Non-credit course)

To complement the classroom learning, students will have exciting opportunities to visit thriving trading centres overseas, attend workshops and talks as well as participate in commodity trading simulations. Students also acquire invaluable hands-on know-how through internships with companies in trading and related sectors.

International Trading Track Scholarships
