THE THREAT OF GLOBAL STAGFLATION:
How Real, How Intense And The Consequences On Emerging Market Risks
Synopsis
Fears of a combined household and financial meltdown in the US coupled with high commodity prices have induced fears of a global inflationary downturn. A detailed examination and the use of complex but exceptionally powerful quantitative tools allow a much more nuanced view with strong operational consequences for business management in emerging economies worldwide.
Dr Apoteker will look to expand on areas such as cyclical developments worldwide and why risks of longer-term lower growth and higher inflation do not affect the same countries. He will go on to elaborate on how such cyclical developments need to be incorporated in the structural changes under way. Lastly he will provide insights on how to benefit from the economic potential in emerging economies while managing the risks. Dr Apoteker will comment on the impact of the increase in the price of commodities and focus on CHINA and INDIA , two economies on which Thierry Apoteker Consultant (T-A-C) has a field expertise.
