Mr Liew Mun Leong

Mr Liew Mun Leong is President and CEO of CapitaLand Group, South East Asia’s largest public real estate group. Mr Liew is Chairman of CapitaMalls Asia Limited, Deputy Chairman of The Ascott Limited, CapitaMall Trust Management Limited, CapitaCommercial Trust Management Limited, CapitaRetail China Trust Management Limited, and Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited. He is also a Director of CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the Group’s philanthropic arm. Mr Liew is presently Chairman of Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd and a Director of Singapore Exchange Limited. With more than 35 years of experience in construction, development and real estate in Singapore and overseas, Mr Liew participated in a number of public sector infrastructural development projects in Singapore, including the development and construction of Singapore Changi Airport. For five years, he was CEO of Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR), and was concurrently appointed the Executive Director of National Science and Technology Board (NSTB). From 1997 to 1998, Mr Liew was the elected President of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). In 2006, Mr Liew was named Outstanding CEO of the Year in the Singapore Business Awards. In 2007, he was conferred the CEO of the Year award in The Business Times’ Singapore Corporate Awards. In 2008, Mr Liew was named Asia’s Best Executive of 2008 (Singapore) by Asiamoney, and Best CEO in Asia (Property) by Institutional Investor. Mr Liew graduated from the University of Singapore with a Civil Engineering degree and is a registered professional civil engineer. |
