Robert Michael Tomlin has been a Trustee since 2005. Currently he serves as Vice Chairman of the Asian arm of New York based Lepercq de Neuflize, advisors to European family offices. He left UBS Investment Bank, Singapore ("UBS") in August 2009, where he had held the positions of Managing Director, Corporate Finance, Branch Manager and Country Head, and Vice Chairman Asia. From 1969 to 1999 he worked with the London based Schroder Group, in London, New York and Singapore.
Currently he serves on the boards of SGX listed Olam International Ltd, Mediacorp Pte Ltd, and Aviva Ltd, Singapore. He is presently Chairman of the Singapore Repertory Theatre and of Design Singapore Council, director of Lasalle Foundation Ltd, and member of the Governing Board of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory at NUS. He sits on the Advisory Committee of Catalist, the Singapore Second Board, and the International Advisory Panel of the Labuan Offshore Finance Authority, in Malaysia.
Mr Tomlin has served as a member of the Council of the Stock Exchange of Singapore, Chairman of the Merchant Bankers Association, director of PSA Corporation, of Old Parliament House Ltd, and Chairman of SGX listed Yellow Pages (Singapore) Ltd.
Mr Tomlin obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages from Downing College, Cambridge in 1966 and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University in 1973.
