- How to Access Your Email
You may use Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) from any web browser to access your email. Follow this url to logon to OWA - https://email.smu.edu.sg
- Exchange Mailbox Size
Your current exchange mailbox size is 30MB. You will receive a warning message if your mailbox size reaches 28MB. You will not be able to send emails if your mailbox size reaches 29MB. You will not be able to send or receive any emails if your mailbox exceeds the 30MB. We advise you to regularly housekeep your mailbox.
- Forwarding your SMU Email to Other Email Account
You can configure your OWA to automatically forward your SMU email to your other email account, such that any email sent to the SMU email account will be forwarded to your personal or company mailbox. Please refer to the instructions to configure your email forwarding in Outlook Web Access (OWA).
*Please take note that if your mailbox is full, you will not be able to receive further emails.
- Policy for Email Usage
Please note that the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) you have signed previously as a student of SMU, still applies for your usage of this lifetime email account.
- Password Policy
Your password expires every 180 days. If you do not use your account for more than 12 months, your account will be disabled. Your account will be locked out after ten (10) unsuccessful logon attempts over a 24-hour period.
We advise you to change your password frequently. To change your password, you will need to logon to Outlook Web Access (OWA). After you have logon, choose "Go to options" icon in the bottom left hand corner and click on "Change Password" in the "Password" section. Enter the necessary information to change your password.
- Reset Password / Reactivate Email Account
Complete the following form to request to reset your password or reactivate your account. This is to protect your account from being hijacked by unauthorized access.
