Am I an Alumni of Singapore Management University?
All students who graduate from SMU’s bachelor or postgraduate degrees are recognised as an SMU alumni.
 
Is there an Alumni Association?

The SMU Alumni Association (SMUAA) was setup on 8 July 2005. You may visit www.smuaa.org.sg for more information on its membership privileges and activities.

 
How do I register as a member of the SMUAA?

You may register as a member here. There are two types of membership available - Gold and Silver. Only Gold members will be issued with the SMU Access card to access selected SMU facilities such as the Gym, Li Ka Shing Library, Swimming Pool, etc.

Will I be given an SMU Alumni membership card?

Your existing student access card will be disabled upon graduation. Alumni who are members of the SMUAA will be issued with the SMUAA Membership Card to enjoy special benefits and privileges offered by the Association.

SMUAA Gold Members will also receive another card - SMU Access Card which gives them access to the SMU Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Library and other selected SMU facilities at City Campus. You can visit www.smuaa.org.sg for more information on the SMUAA membership.

 
Can I keep my existing student email account?

All graduates of SMU can continue using your existing student email account. This is a lifelong email account given to students after graduation. The name of the account remains unchanged. Please note that if you do not access your account for more than one year, your account will be de-activated.

How can I reactivate my alumni email account if I have not accessed it for more than a year?

Who can I ask for assistance if I have forgotten my alumni email account password?

Can I forward my SMU email account to my active personal email account?

Please refer to the instructions to configure your email forwarding. However, if your mailbox is full, the service will be unable to forward emails to your active account.

How do I get duplicate copies of my transcript?

You may place orders for additional copies of the official transcript from the Registrar's Office.

 
How do I get a replacement for my degree scroll?

The degree scroll cannot be replaced . No duplicate will be made if the degree scroll is lost or damaged. Instead, a letter of certification on your graduation status can be issued by the Registrar's Office. You may contact the Registrar's Office for assistance.

Do I have access to ONTRAC services after graduation?

Yes. The service is extended to graduates for a period of ONE year after graduation.

 
Do I have access to the library services after graduation?

All SMU alumni have walk-in access to the Li Ka Shing Library. Only SMUAA Gold members have borrowing privileges and databases access.

For Silver members, just flash your SMUAA membership card to enter the Library. Non-SMUAA members are requested to register at the Library Security Desk.

Can I visit the University?

Alumni are welcome to visit the SMU City Campus. You may change for a visitor pass at the reception counter if you wish to visit your favourite faculty or staff in their offices.

You may also email SMU Alumni Relations at alumni@smu.edu.sg if you wish to join the City Campus guided tours conducted by the SMU Visitor Centre.

 
How can I set up an Alumni Group or Chapter?

Alumni with similar interest can get together to set up an alumni group. Do contact Amelia Lim at 6828 0797 or e-mail alumni@smu.edu.sg for assistance.
